The Window" (Author unknown)
Two men, both seriously ill, occupied the same hospital room. One man was allowed to sit up in his bed for an hour a day to drain the fluids from his lungs. His bed was next to the room's only window. The other man had to spend all his time flat on his back.

The men talked for hours on end. They spoke of their wives and families, their homes, their jobs, their involvement in the military service, where they had been on vacation.
And every afternoon when the man in the bed next to the window could sit up, he would pass the time by describing to his roommate all the things he could see outside the window.
The man in the other bed would live for those one-hour periods where his world would be broadened and enlivened by all the activity and color of the outside world. The window overlooked a park with a lovely lake, the man had said. Ducks and swans played on the water while children sailed their model boats. Lovers walked arm in arm amid flowers of every color of the rainbow. Grand old trees graced the landscape, and a fine view of the city skyline could be seen in the distance. As the man by the window described all this in exquisite detail, the man on the other side of the room would close his eyes and imagine the picturesque scene.

One warm afternoon the man by the window described a parade passing by. Although the other man could not hear the band, he could see it in his mind's eye as the gentleman by the window portrayed it with descriptive words.
Unexpectedly, an alien thought entered his head: Why should hehave all the pleasure of seeing everything while I never get to see anything? It didn't seem fair.
As the thought fermented, the man felt ashamed at first. But as the days passed and he missed seeing more sights, his envy eroded into resentment and soon turned him sour.
He began to brood and found himself unable to sleep. He should be by that window - and that thought now controlled his life.

Late one night, as he lay staring at the ceiling, the man by the window began to cough. He was choking on the fluid in his lungs. The other man watched in the dimly lit room as the struggling man by the window groped for the button to call for help. Listening from across the room, he never moved, never pushed his own button which would have brought the nurse running. In less than five minutes, the coughing and choking stopped, along with the sound of breathing. Now, there was only silence--deathly silence.

The following morning, the day nurse arrived to bring water for their baths. When she found the lifeless body of the man by the window, she was saddened and called the hospital attendant to take it away--no words, no fuss
. As soon as it seemed appropriate, the man asked if he could be moved next to the window. The nurse was happy to make the switch and after making sure he was comfortable, she left him alone.
Slowly, painfully, he propped himself up on one elbow to take his first look. Finally, he would have the joy of seeing it all himself. He strained to slowly turn to look out the window beside the bed. It faced a blank wall.

Moral of the story:
The pursuit of happiness is a matter of choice...it is a positive attitude we consciously choose to express. It is not a gift that gets delivered to our doorstep each morning, nor does it come through the window. And I am certain that our circumstances are just a small part of what makes us joyful. If we wait for them to get just right, we will never find lasting joy.
The pursuit of happiness is an inward journey. Our minds are like programs, awaiting the code that will determine behaviors; like bank vaults awaiting our deposits. If we regularly deposit positive, encouraging, and uplifting thoughts, if we continue to bite our lips just before we begin to grumble and complain, if we shoot down that seemingly harmless negative thought as it germinates, we will find that there is much to rejoice about

Yesterday was Graduation Dinner,
we went to school for dance rehersal,
after that went to secondary school hall,
celest came and she look good in black like one motorbike driver...
Had lucky draw first, then finally our turn to perform...

it was the last day, we will all be together,
as a class, eating...
so we huged each other and cried,

Please take note that briefing for Secondary 1 Registration is on the 15th December 2008 (Monday), 9am in school. Please come with proper haircut and in proper attire - covered shoes, school based tshirt and school shorts/pants/skirt. Attendance is compulsory unless with valid reasons. Nominated secondary 1 councillors and 4N councillors are also required to attend the briefing as well as the actual registration, please do pass the message to your fellow friends.

2. 19th December is the actual Registration day, more information of your duties on that day will be released on the 15th Dec, therefore, if you're unable to attend, please inform us/the exco and we'll get back to you with all the relevant information.

3. Orientation dryrun will be held on the 29th & 30th December, so please keep the dates free as well. Sec 1s are reminded that you're involved as well. Further details will be out at a later date.

4. For the Sec 3 councillors attending the chalet, it's 2D1N with BBQ/potluck at night. We'll set off after registration briefing and for those who have to go home first, we'll meet you at East Coast Park - Goldkist Resort. You'll be informed of the price at a later date.

So im just going to emphasise on it because it does not reflect why we are working so hard for the chalet while most of you all just sit there and ask us about the chalet and blame us that its cancelled.

Me, Naomi, Salted and Jeremy are working on a solution to book another chalet.
And some(i didnt say most) of you just sit there, ask us about the chalet, and when we say that it may be cancelled, you just blame us for not booking it earlier.
So...
Lets see what are the reasons that we didnt book it earlier.
One, some of you, is refusing to pay the actual price and keep negotiating with us to cut on the price. $20 is alr very cheap for one person. If you go ask your parents book, i think that $20 will not even be enough for your food. Depending on how long you stay larh.

Two, two of you paid ASAP, thats good. If we dun get at least half or even three-quarter of the full sum, how are we going to book it? If we dun get at least three-quarter confirmed answer, when i say confirmed, i mean you confirm going and the $20 will be your evidence. So what if we book the chalet, you all not yet pay, then suddenly you all dun feel like going to the chalet, then dun wan pay. Then whats going to happen to the chalet? Whats going to happen to the person's money that booked the chalet? The person booking the chalet must not be below 18 years of age. Its stated in the website. We are trying to get an adult to book and yet you all dun wan to co-operate.

If you still think its the people in charge of the chalet that is at fault, i have nth to say. Cuz you obviously have no common sense. Im not saying that its all you all's ( the students not in charge of the chalet) fault. Im saying this because, some of you, are just pushing the blame to us and accusing us of not booking the chalet earlier. You think its easy to be in charge? Why not you come and try? I see how you can handle it. Most of the work is done by Naomi, thats why we chose to put her as overall in charge..

anw, here to talk bout birthday.

Jeremy birthday was 2 day ago, on the 12th

so me and Naomi brought some cake fof him, and this is wat he said " u guy is trying to stuff me with cake to make me fat rit? "

not staying over night, same but only need 2 pair of clean clothing and no need sleeping bag.

and then there's the bed, we have 4 or five bed i think, if u want it then $5 more, and the money will not go to us, we'll use tt and cut the cost of the total cost then we'll divide it by the number of people going. tts the amount tt u need to pay.

If not cannot book the chalet.
I know most of you all think that still got so far, common test not even over, then we alr start planning the chalet.

ola. if u remember, today is the day i turn 13. i'm not saying this so u will give me present ar.
but today is the best bd celebration i ever had.
it was plan tt i meet alan and jeremy at 10 but instead, i recive a call from trina to meet up at 9.
so we all choin. then on the bus i listen to music with trina, then naomi and tricia aere attacking alan and jeremy. then alan got a bit of injury.

after we reach the interchange, we when to the place where the shutter bus should park, but it's not there so we thought it just went. then we headed back to the interchange to take bus, but then we walk more then half the bus come. so we all sprint to it. damn tiring la. ( it was my fault, sry )
then after we reach, we went to buy the ticket. 13 and above, is $17.50 while 12 and below is $9. so trina and her sis paid more. heng the sale men kind, give me a child ticket as bd present. she also today bd. lol. so we took a family package, 2 adult and 2 children. so i is the father. XD jkjk

then we play for bout 4h inside. the following is ranking of the bravest to the weakest. ( rank by all, not me)

me, Trina, Naomi, Tricia, Jeremy then lastly is Alan.

we played all the thing there. also got ranking. from the scariest to the lamest.

then we went out as Naomi need to meet up with some one. but.... she cancelled it. and we did not chop before we left. so we went around e-hub, go to the arcade to take neoprint. first one alan give most and the sec one i pay all.

cause the first one my eyes like dun know wat. so thoes tt want c tomorrow go find us. XD

oh ya, and me and alan buy smth from a shop called super dog. i buy a tall iced choc ( aka as a very normal ice Milo to all of us ) which cost $4.30. and alan buy a hot dog tt cost $ 4.50. also not really nice or big.

then we headed back to j8. on a bus and IT"S THE SAME BUS AS THE ONE WE TOOK THERE!!! PLATE NUMB sbs 711H. wth rit?

lol, missed out alot of things. anw,
me, Naomi, Jeremy, Rianna and Alan was ready to go, till they wanted to go play the arcade,
the drum one. then only got 1 pair of stick so they 2 ( Alan and rianna ) each use one. then we also use hand. i wanted to help alan to hit then he hit me -.- idoit...

then we wanted to give trina a surprise so we nv tell her we reach. then we went to the place, she not there. call her then know she at the beach.
i saw her, then let naomi know then she say trina saw us liao.

i found out i got good eye sight sia, so far away i also can c XD
okok, i not blowing my trumpet ar.

lol. then we go back up, i gave trina sis( triacal ) a fourtun teller botter, some of ur will knwo wat's tt, then they all started playing with it.
then we play min golf. the pic tell all liao.
then the rest trina tell liao.

me and jeremy tobang/ longbang trina godfather car, alan tobang/ longbang trina car, then the girls tobang/ longbang vh car.

oh ya, before i forgot, alan actuly wanted to buy the same thing as vh one. but then he chip in to jermy one. and they did not tell each other. must be fate. haha. okok, i dun make fun liao.

My turn to post.
Since salted only use photos, i'll use words...
As usual, i went for my tuition, then after tuition went to take my 2kg cake.
Then went to the venue.
Reach at about 4.30.
Left the cake with the ppl there and then went to take a walk in the beach...
Then suddenly i saw Salted and Naomi.
I was so surprise, like about 5mins ago they sms-ed me say they were in AMK.
Lol.
Then they started giving me presents...
Salted gave me a giant dolphin and then with a dolphin movie DVD, Naomi gave me a pooh bear box, Rianna gave me a pooh bear cup and straw, jeremy and alan gave me a necklace with my name, a music note and a dolphin.
Then we went up to the place, and played truth or dare...
LOL.
After that, we split into 4grps...
My mum, younger sis, godmother and godsis in Grp 1.
My sis, and my two godbro and other godsis in grp 2.
Then at first alan, rianna and jeremy in grp 3, then we ask salted join, if not the last grp will have 5ppl.
Then VH came, and she gave me a Fahrenheit CD, their 2nd album!
Then we waited for vivan, and finally she came. LOL
Then we started playing..
And surprisingly, we finished first, even though we were the last grp to go in..
HAHA!
Then i started opening what vivan gave me...
Halfway went to eat, then cut cake, after that we went to the long table opposite...
I opened my presents until my whole hand was black...

And vivan gave me a heineken tee!

....i feeeeeeeel so bad!!!almost everyone de birthday party i never go.....i wanna go but this is a problem...no tuition but also do homework and sometimes mother dont allow.....a big SORRY to everyone...really very sorry..........if i did go to ur party...dont get angry especially those ppl that have their party some time back and going to have the party soon.....as u all noe i am very dumb and like never get outside often so i only know how to go school,library,the dance studio of Mr Tan,J8 only....ok chinatown also....AMk hub i only went there once so also not familiar and other places i am _______ dont know who to describe....ok i think i should say..SORRY Trina , SORRY Denise,SORRY Yin Ru so long never come the blog le....so SOrry again...only can say sorry...wat can i say but i juz try the best to go for u all de party next time...
